Developing Appropriate Assessment and Evaluation Practices for the Next Generation Science Standards

Workshop participants will develop theoretical and practical tools for preparing teachers to design and carry out NGSS assessments and to use the resulting information for program improvement. The workshop includes participation in an assessment activity and a practical exercise in assessment building. The workshop is built around twelve essential teacher education learning objectives.
